Dear Kathy Whiteside, thank you for the wonderful caroling party last Saturday night. You have a beautiful voice, thanks for the solo. Everyone had a wonderful time !
The CBRC winter meeting was held last night at the Col Ballroom in Davenport. Vinton Cromer, Nancy Shell, Nancy Foxen, and I attended. Nancy Foxen and Rusty Brown received 1st place awards for the 2009 Cornbelt Race Circuit for their age divisions. Mario Garcia and I received 3rd place awards for our age divisions. (Rusty and Mario... we brought home your awards.) Congratulations to all Cornbelt runners !

Saturday is the Running Friend's 3rd annual Jingle Jog. We will meet at the Y @ 8 and run around town passing out candy canes... spreading holiday cheer. Wear red and put on your Santa / elf hats and bells on your shoes. Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas ! After the Jingle Jog, there will be a holiday party at Lisa and Dave Hughes' home @ 2 p.m. Lots of fun ! Please come and enjoy !

Tecumseh was great. I'd recommend this run to others... it's probably my favorite marathon. I wasn't as fast as I'd like... last time I ran a 3:35, which I thought was pretty darn good. (But it didn't compare to Bill Ryan's time of 3:25(?) two years prior). I ran a 3:53 this time. It was good enough to place in my age group (must've been hard up for 35-39 year olds). Anyway, it's done ... this year I have done 17 races at 26.2 or longer. I think I did over 30 events total. Now, I'm attempting my biggest challenge to date... two weeks off. (Poor Kelly)

Registration for the full is $65 now but will increase to $75 as of January 1st, 2010. (Half is $50, will increase to $60.) If you would like to train with us, we will be starting an 18 week training schedule on January 9th. The Green Bay Marathon is on May 16, 2009 (Sunday). Nancy Shell and I have registered... please let me know as you register so we can get a head count for the hotel reservations and carpool. Thank you !!!
