Mark your calendars :

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt run is scheduled for Saturday, April 4th. Our running journey will begin @ 8 a.m at the Y. We will run together as a group and stop to hunt for eggs and clues to the next location. This is a fun run, not fast paced... slow and easy. It will be approximately 7-8 miles in distance, rest stop every 1 - 1.5 miles. Don't miss this run, it will be loads of FUN with lots of TREATS ... and a GRAND PRIZE GOLDEN EGG !

Some of you may have read this story and seen the video. No matter how many times I view it, it brings tears to my eyes. Truly inspirational :

A son says to his father: "Dad, would you be willingly to run a marathon with me?"
The father, despite his age and a heart disease, says "YES".
And they run that marathon, together.
The son asks: "Dad, will you run another marathon with me?"
Again father says "YES".
They run another marathon, together.
One day the son asks his father: "Dad, would please do an Iron Man with me?"
(Now just in case you don't know, 'The Iron Man' is the toughest triathlon in existence; 4k swim, then 180k bike, and finally a 42k run.)
Again father says "YES".

Last Sunday's group run. The distances varied from 5 to 20 miles. Daphne Donald, Noel Spencer, Kathy Whiteside, and I ran a 20 miler. Great run !
Scroll to the bottom of the page. Nancy Shell spent last week in Colorado visiting her daughter, Amy. Here is a picture of Nancy at the top of Pike's Peak. Notice the Running Friend's bag hanging on her arm. Cool !

Should you be able to receive half points for assists in helping people through these various process with comments like "don't throw that over there or it will just blow back in your face", or perhaps acting a blocker so that others can't see what you are doing.
