In case you don't get the email....

Trail run at Sunderbruch on Saturday morning. There were a few spills...a little football...but no one got hurt!!

Sunday group run.

Run with Carl.

Hello Running Friends,

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. Welcome September !

* Our weekday practice runs have changed. We will no longer meet on Thursday nights. We will meet on Wednesday nights @ 5 p.m. at the Y. Since the track workouts have not been very popular, we are now going to begin at the Y and run the streets in town. We will meet at the same place as Saturday mornings... at the Y in the hallway by the pool area.

* Saturday and Sunday morning runs will remain the same. Saturdays @ 8 at the Y and Sundays @ 8 at MHS.

This Saturday we will not be meeting for our usual practice run though. The Wildcat Den trail run is scheduled at 8 a.m. Hopefully I will see all of you there ! Is there anyone interested in biking to / from Wildcat Den before / after the race? If so, let me know. Bill Ryan wanted to know if there was going to be a "migration" to Wild Cat Den. Is there anyone interested in running to the race? What about running home from the race?

This Sunday we will meet @ 8 at MHS for our usual practice run. We will aim for 8 miles.

Let's backtrack : Last Sunday, Steve Hammann ran trails near Fairfield, IA. Steve managed to finish 50 miles of trails ! WAY TO GO !

On Labor Day, Charles Potter and Joe Timmsen ran the Dubuque half marathon. Joe Timmsen was the 4th overall male finisher. GREAT JOB ! Joe informed us that Eric Walsh was 3rd overall male and Mike Thomas was the first male to cross the finish line. I have not heard from Charles yet but I am certain that he crossed the finish line smiling. : )

Also on Labor Day was the Run with Carl race in Bettendorf. Muscatine runners did very well. Nancy Foxen received a trophy for being the 2nd overall female finisher, Vinton Cromer came in first place for his age division, Nancy Shell and Jackie Liebmann came in second for their age divisions, and Mario Garcia came in third for his age division. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL !
