A note from Nancy Shell : (Let's help her obtain her goal with this fundraiser)

Hi everyone,

I am scheduled to be interviewed on May 29th at 10am for our local access Channel 9 on 'musca-t-time' about the Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. I am hoping to mention planning a fundraising run on June 28th. I am trying to set the wheels in motion for that--develop a flyer, sign up sheet, find a sponsor (No. 1 on the list of things to do), order incentive prizes, etc. I will probably need to keep it pretty simple. Time is the one thing that seems to be in short supply.

Would any of you be free or willing to join me at the interview? Chad Bishop suggested having another guest. The other gals going to the walk in Chicago with me all live and work out of town. I realize it is a weekday morning and you all work. I just wanted to ask anyway. If anyone else is available, I would love to have you join me.

Nancy

Pictures #1 and #2 are the before and after from last Saturday's group run around town. GREAT FRIENDS, WONDERFUL COMPANY !

Pictures #3 - #5 are from Sunday's Distance Classic half marathon in Rock Island. Yes, it was rainy. Yes, it was windy. Yes, it was cold. Yes, we ran anyways ! (Connie and Eric, I love you guys... teasing you was all in fun ! Your turn next time !) There were many Running Friends that placed in the top 3 for their age divisions. If I forget to mention anyone, please forgive me : Joe Timmsen was 4th OVERALL (1st for his age division). WOW ! AWESOME ! Joe, Stacey Eberhard, Terry Curry, Nancy Shell, Vinton Cromer, Mike Batenhorst, Mark Lofgren, and Mike Thomas received trophies for their age divisions. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Nancy Foxen for volunteering at the Distance Classic and then running the course... encouraging everyone with her cheerful words, "Good job, looking great, keep up the good pace !" CONGRATULATIONS WINNERS ! CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE THAT TACKLED THE HARSH WEATHER ! * A note from Nancy Foxen : For those who were not able to pick up their trophy Sunday and/or their t-shirt at packet pickup, both of these items will be available for pickup at Running Wild, 3216 Brady Street, Davenport until May 27th.
