The reasons we run...

The pictures below were taken at the QC marathon on Sunday, September 28th. Several Running Friends ran in the 5k, half and full marathon. To each and every one of you that participated ... CONGRATULATIONS !

#1) Becky Hammann received first place for her age divison in the 5k. Way to go Becky !

#2) Vinton Cromer, Dave Hurlbut, Johnny Colazo, Nancy Rupe, and Paula Gillespie. Johnny is holding a 2nd place plaque for his age division in the half marathon. Congratulations Johnny !

#3) Dell Wagner, Mike Batenhorst, Mike Thomas, Paula Gillespie, Noel Spencer, Peggy Bailey, Teri Lyon, and Becky Hammann. Mike Thomas ran the full marathon under 3 hours ! Awesome job, Mike !

#4) I am thrilled for these two women : Daphne Donald and Kathy Whiteside qualified for Boston !!! YAHOO !!! (Daphne completed her first full marathon.)

#5) Mario Garcia, Cora Mattie, Kelly _____, Dell Wagner, Peggy Bailey, Teri Lyon, and Johnny Colazo. (Cora completed her first full marathon.)

#6) Terry Curry received a well deserved 3rd place plaque for his age division for the full marathon. (Are there IV bags hanging behind Terry? Guess how many liters it took to rehydrate his body?) Glad you're okay, Kazar !

#7) Nancy Foxen received a 3rd place plaque for her age division. Nancy girl, you are the sweetest of the sweet !

#8) Mario Garcia, Laurie Eash, Charles Potter, Teri Lyon, Terry Curry, Nancy Shell, and Nancy Foxen. Charles completed his #38 marathon ! Great job, Charles ! (Laurie completed her first full marathon.)

- Mike Donald also completed his first full marathon. I am very proud of all of you first time marathoners ! I am also proud of the runners that qualified for Boston... Nancy Foxen, Joe Timmsen, Daphne Donald, Mario Garcia, Kathy Whiteside, Eric Walsh, and Mike Thomas. You are all an inspiration to us !

- Stacey Eberhard ran in the Omaha marathon on the same day we ran the QC marathon. Good job, Stacey !
