Did anyone get "fooled" on April Fool's Day? Welcome April ! Lots of fun times to be had this month !

* This week's Wednesday and Thursday night runs ... MHS @ 5 p.m. near the tennis courts. We'll take it slow and easy.

* For those of you that are not going to St. Louis, Paula Gillespie and Shelly Bell would like to invite you to join them @ 8:30 a.m. at the Y for a Saturday morning run. Thanks ladies for "keeping the groove goin' " !

St. Louis runners ... are you ready ? ONLY 5 DAYS UNTIL RACE TIME ! I will be sending out another e-mail to the St. Louis runners with Saturday's plans once I have confirmed them with Terry.

April runs : * 5k Hayes Hustle on Saturday, April 12 @ 9 a.m.
* McNaughton Park Trails in Pekin, IL. on April 11-13. 50, 100, 150 mile runs. (Good luck, Joe Timmsen!)
* 5k Gilda's Run in Bettendorf on Sunday, April 13 @ 8 a.m. (Let's carpool !)
* Drake Relays in Des Moines on Saturday, April 26 @ 8 a.m. Half marathon and 8k road race. (Charles Potter's "must do" race.)
* 5k and 10k River Run in Iowa City on Sunday, April 27 @ 9 a.m. (Let's carpool !)

Last weekend, John Fletcher ran a half marathon in Kansas City. This Saturday, John will be running a half in Springfield, IL. And... a day later, on Sunday, John will be with us running the St. Louis half marathon ! Very impressive, John !

Mario Garcia, Tonya Armstrong, and Vinton Cromer ran in the Clinton Easter Seals race this past Sunday. Mario and Vinton received 3rd place awards for their age divisions while Tonya came in 4th. (Mario said that Tonya missed 3rd by a few seconds.) CONGRATULATIONS TONYA, MARIO, AND VINTON !
